I hate to give up my old things for new! The old just seem better always.
Ah but after a while, the new gets old too. I really hate getting used to a new toy!

Ya i changed my browser from Internet Explorer to Mozilla, because some unrelenting website insisted that i could only download if i used Mozilla. Might as well, totally change it. I feel so uncomfortable knowing that there are 2 internet browsers in my computer taking up so much memory space! Paranoid or not, Mozilla is making my computer ten times slower. Yes, Mozilla, not IE. I'm usually biased towards the old at the start.

I really want to go to bed, but i feel i have to blog to wrap up my birthday.

On the way home at 6plus from Shangri-la, i felt like it was the worst birthday ever! I lost my (new) wallet, and the real issue here is, my cards are all gone! =(
I/C; replacement needs $100
Student card; i can't tap my attendance anymore!
ATM card; i'm penniless now!
Driving licence; means i'll have to revert back to my temporary paper licence and my mother will laugh at me again!
..and 4 other cards. I lost my cartooned house key also! (along with my address, which is, very bad)

But i came to realize it wasn't so bad! I had a nice lunch with Lea Eliz and Brian, i got a nice and thick card too! Got to drive on my own for quite a while today which is quite exciting! Family celebrated at home with a surprise present for me, Jean Eliz and Des came over to surprise me at 11plus at night too, with an irritating candle that can't be blowed out haha! I can't believe i wore my bear bear shorts out to meet them!!

It wasn't too good for me initially, but as i recalled back all my friends and family who were with me today it felt quite heartwarming all of a sudden! My wallet isn't such a big deal after all!

I don't want to say things like i love my friends 'cause i bet they'll scold me corny when we meet!!

It's good it's good, i had a major change yesterday! Secretly.

Sigh, i don't know why i feel worried. Maybe dread. Ha, sadly, when i typed it out i felt like it was BINGO.
DREAD, ahh, I really hope the instructor will not, by any chance, know that it's my birthday because i don't want a million out-of-tune guitars strumming happy birthday to me. Oh man, i can't even bear to imagine that scene! Sigh.

I think it's the old age syndrome. It's got to be. I just don't feel excited about birthdays anymore, save the excitement man. I can't take it. I think i'm more excited about shang's food! Weee weet! A million quality birthday cakes! Wee weet! Makes me salivate just thinking about it. Wee weet wee weet!

Okay, i think i know what else's worrying me. My wardrobe looks prepared, but it's a scam. Wedding dinners are a chore. I like the fruit cakes they give though! Yummy, but seriously, what are they in comparison to shang's?! Haha! (despise despise) Then again, i think fruit cakes are passe now.
That's secondary anyway.
What to wear? Wearing something nice restricts you and it defeats the purpose of going there to eat your fill.

The last worrying thing; studies. I'm not elaborating. I missed 5 mins of my korean show already!

It's soooo funny how yang jun wen changed the lyrics! Xing guang presented it so comically!! Since yesterday till today, i'll laugh uncontrollably each time i think of that! I seldom see the surname Lin! Apart from random strangers, only my nephews and my sister and i have it!
The ones born in around 1985-1990 in my family have the surname Lin! My nieces and nephews born after our batch all reverted back to Lim. Haha i heard my mother say during that few years our government encouraged them to use han yu pin yin for our chinese names. That's why i don't have a hanyu pinyin name, i only have a statutory name!

I don't understand eh! Seems as though only my family heeded the government's advice. People like.... Lim Sek Chin, Joshua Lim, Clarence Lim, Darren Lim, Nicholas Lim, Joan Lim... still used Lim, I can't think of anymore now.

Such a busy week, so many activities, amongst which i hate driving the most.

I'll be hating it for another XX weeks. I hate poles.
And stressing over my retarded and uncoordinated fingers for another 2+ weeks or so. (for piano)

I'm trying to keep my slow-and-consistent pace with my studies. I hope to achieve what i had never been able to for the past 12 years of schooling life, i.e consistent study (which proves to be much easier than last minute cramming, but i always choose the latter). 12 years! Each year's december i'll tell myself "Next year i'll do it, next year i'll do it!" But year after year, and year after year! Wah I'm already at my final stage of schooling. This is my only chance left! So i must do it!

Yesterday i went to the driving centre for my Final Theory Test!
Haha ya, i finally passed after failing twice. Haha stop laughing! CANNOT FAIL AH.

Hahaha anyway, the thing i really want to say is!
Yesterday at around 1215pm on June 15 Monday, i was standing outside the driving centre waiting for my parents. Then these 2 girls smiled and waved to me but i really couldn't recall who they are! In that instant I was thinking nope, not pj, not jj, not band fest, not fairfield, not my cousins! Who are they! Then i gave a very shocked and awkward smile.

I had many dreams yesterday! I remember them this time!

I dreamt of my parents asking me whether i want to go somewhere with them, think NTUC or something. Then i said okok. The lift had a hole and it travelled horizontally! Amazing.

Then i dreamt of s31 classmates.
We were all at Lea's house, some gathering i think. Then Lea told us it's Weichiang's birthday, so she wants to celebrate for him. She called him, told him to come to her house. So she started preparing, and took out a mahjong table. The pattern so nice until i asked her "Lea, that one is your laptop or handphone?" Then she said "No lah! Is mahjong table lor!" I remember Lunfa was also holding the mahjong table with Lea. Hahaha! Weichiang came, he had gold hair! His hair was super long somemore! All of us very shocked. Then he suddenly transformed into someone else. We even more shocked! Brian made some comment then kept laughing in his usual way. Then Ethan and his "two brothers" were there too, Desiree and i kept playing with one of them and kept calling Ethan Ethan Ethan! He didn't respond. Hahaha then we realized that one wasn't Ethan. I scolded Desiree, "your nephew also cannot recognise!"

Then i dreamt of Eliz coming my house asking me for something, then i went to the piano and sat down. I told her something, then remembered the notes i promised her. I gave her and she was happy! Haha!

After all those, i dreamt that i was at a beach, with i don't know, mixture of people. First i remembered a lot of people were playing this pull the rubber band game. So they all pulled everyone's rubberband. Elis pulled mine. Suddenly, Selene grabbed me, then she said "JOA QUICK QUICK! They want to play IMBA!" Then i "Huh? What's IMBA?" She grabbed me and rannnn to the crowd there, shouting "THEY WILL CHOOSE ONE PERSON" So i rannnnnnn to the crowd and pulled Valerie along, and told her quick quick!
Oh then i remembered we had to hold hands in a big group. Lunfa and a few guys i think is Alex they all, don't want to hold i think. They said they're what standing gang or something, die also don't want play!

Haha I think i had more dreams, but i can't remember for now!

I feel excited about embracing a new future because i know everything will work out good in the end, but i can't help but worry about how long how far how hard everything will be.

Hahaha Eliz and i had a one week job at MOE, and see,

This is our office dog!
Quite poor thing, i don't know who bandaged it.

And we had to check so many things, we wrote down so many numbers, haha like knowing (it's a movie).

Hahaha it was quite fun actually, considering how much time we spent beating all the high scores on Spot it, Spot the Difference, Puzzle Spot, Guess the Sketch, Word Challenge on Facebook. Hahaha, FUN!

And i remember laughing so much once because of Guess the Sketch until i couldn't stop when our boss wanted to explain to us something. Haha i still feel quite bad about it now. Hahahaha and i realized all aunties, whether they are educated or not, managers or not, all gossip and laugh very loudly! But they're really funny. Hahahaha!

Maybe i'm thinking too much.
But i keep feeling that my mom and i grew distant after our last quarrel.

Quite sad, the feeling she gives me now is so different from when i was young. I feel as if i can't depend on her anymore. I thought it'd be okay after like a few hours after the quarrel. I was, but she wasn't. Then i gave it another 1,2 days. It didn't become okay. Then until now, 4 days. I really can feel we grew distant. So sad, but i can't do anything about it.

We used to quarrel very often, but it always ended in a few hours nicely. Then when i grew older, our family hardly quarrelled. Seldom, rarely, hardly. I always thought that was good. Maybe not. I think we forgot how to quarrel. Until last Sunday when we quarrelled again, it feels like she doesn't know how to end it off nicely anymore.

Okay! Today i went to Fairfield funfair with Jean and Desiree. Haha it was really boring! Then went to Bugis to find mummy to go home together. In the end we went to NTUC to shop. My mum wanted to make use of free labour.
